J.P. Fraley's Mountain Music Gatherin'

     Join us for a weekend gathering of traditional musicians and lovers of old time music and help preserve the rich musical heritage of the Eastern Kentucky Hills.
    
Join master fiddler J.P. Fraley at this festival that features professional and beginning musicians alike playing on stage, jamming in the parking lots, and sharing music around the campfires of Carter Caves.

Dulcimer Building Workshop with Ed Weiss, Wed. 2:00, Thurs. & Fri 9:00. Fee: $65

Make a dulcimer “Fraley Festival Flat Top”, designed by J.C. Ramey and E.A. Weiss. These are solid cherry kits, rectangular style with autoharp tuner pins. Class will take place in the new campground shelter and is limited to 10 people on a first come basis. For more info, contact dulcie@zoomtown.com.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Carter Caves has a  lodge,  vacation cottages, RV camp sites and primitive camp sites.  
For camping reservations, please call 1-888-459-7275, or reserve online at the Kentucky State park website.

FOOD: Tierney's Cavern Restaurant, in the Lewis Caveland Lodge, is a public facility offering a wide variety of meals.  It is open daily serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Carter Caves State Park is located in northeastern Kentucky,
4 miles off I-64 between Grayson and Olive Hill (exit 161).
